Today was the date for the second and final stage of the digital switchover in our region (stage one took place last month). The analogue signal has now been switched off and we are now all receiving our television programmes through our digital boxes and a digital signal.
You might find (as I do) that your main channels are now the Welsh equivalents? If that’s the case then you might find that the national broadcasts can be found on channels in the region of 800 or so. In our case BBC1 is on our TV channel 800 and BBC2 is 801. I’ve not yet searched for the other channels, but I’m sure that they’ll be there somewhere!
It’s all a bit of a faff if your telly does need tinkering with, but it will open for doors for additional services in the not too distant future.
