Okay, last sky photo for a while but a beautiful one kindly sent to me by Bill who describes the photo as ‘northern lights from King’s Gap’.
I don’t know if you’d see the northern lights while the sun is setting (or rising …isn’t the sun rising when looking in this direction?) but there does appear to be shades of grey-green in this photo? Either way, it’s a really cracking view!
That object sticking up above the trees to the right of the old lighthouse is the crane being using on the new care home development in Queens Road.
ANOTHER care home??? I’m sorry, we need hotels, leisure industry and facilities that will bring employment and revenue to our beautiful town.
Care homes and retirement properties we have aplenty, but they do not bring the income that tourism brings.
It isn’t another care home but an improvement to the one that was there until work started. We have an ageing population here too, and care/nursing homes do bring employment to the area. I agree we need more leisure facilities too though. I wonder how busy the Holiday Inn are when there’s no major golf events on?
