The roundabout flower boxes are currently in full bloom and look really great! Shame the council haven’t managed to match and paint the recent railing repair.
Jan Foster of Hoylake & Meols In Bloom has been in touch to remind you that you can help keep Hoylake blooming in the months ahead by making donations at the collection points at the library and some of the local shops.
Hardworking volunteers (including our neighbour!) also raise funds by running the kiosk in the Parade Gardens . If you’re on the promenade during the forthcoming lifeboat day then don’t forget that the kiosk will be open.
As a slight aside, I was in Lytham St Annes last month (on the way home from Blackpool) and they too have some lovely flower tubs in the main shopping area. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Congratulations – looking fabulous! Can the volunteers take over the King’s Gap roundabout too? It was looking rather unloved when I visited last month.

Yes – well done to all the volunteers. Husband and I were walking past the other evening and were amazed that the flowers have survived as the local authority usually forget to water them! Now I know why they look so good……
