The coastline that’s on our doorstep is something that we perhaps take for granted. Most mornings I walk for the paper and pop along the prom briefly on the way back. I can’t say it looks any different most mornings and like many of us I take the views for granted. Then sometimes, the view to Hilbre Island and the North Wales coast behind is really clear and it makes you look twice. Othertimes, the beach changes because the sand has moved in yet another strong wind.
I’m not really arty myself though if I had the time I’d like to try my hand at photography. Other locals however aren’t so artistically challenged and have an eye for a great photo using our coastline as the subject. For example, take a look at this striking image taken by Martin Waters that I stumbled upon earlier. Another local, Tim Myers includes images like this on his website.
I’m sure that their are many more that I’ve yet to come across. But it’s such images that maybe remind you not to take our coastline for granted!
