If you go along North Parade then you can’t but fail to notice the small boat that’s been sat at Sandhey slipway for quite some time.
Gromit is the name of the boat and she’s been there for quite a few months now. I think the hull has a hole in it so she’s not sea-worthy. At various times the boat has been upside-down and when the cabin hasn’t been locked I think kids were playing in it. Don’t think it’s had a parking ticket yet!
I wonder if Gromit is here (there) to stay – does anyone know? It’s not bothering me personally by any means. Boats are a part of Hoylake history and I wish there were still boats moored at Hoylake rather than just Meols.
