Hoylake Violin Shop, one of village’s more unusual shops, is up for sale.
Proprietor Andrew Hutchinson has repaired, restored, restrung and sold violins in Hoylake for over 30 years. Prior to that Andrew had a workshop in West Kirby. I spoke with Andrew earlier today and he explained that as he wants to move away from the retail side of the business, he doesn’t require what is quite a spacious showroom. Andrew aims to sell the mixed-use property and will continue to repair violins for new and long-standing clients and will still be contactable through his website.
Local agents Karl Tatler are marketing the property. Perhaps one possible use for the premises could be a specialist retail outlet combined with a cafe? The much-improved Grove Park (facebook page) is just the other side of the road of course.
