Plans to convert the old lifeboat station on North Parade have been approved in part and conversion works are now underway.
I understand the planning consent was given to create a cafe and 1st floor residential apartment but consent for an outdoor activity centre in the old boat shed was not given (I haven’t double checked that though).
United Utilities were on site this morning working on a new water main (as seen in my photo above). Â You can read about the redevelopment of the old lifeboat station in this post.
The Blue Anchor
Planning consent has been granted for a mixed-use development on the site of the closed Blue Anchor pub on Market Street. The pub is to be demolished and replaced with a Co-op supermarket with apartments on the 1st floor. The Co-op will relocate from The Row – presumably the current premises will be put on the market.
Hoylake Beacon
Plans for a mixed used development including a cinema, shops and apartments on the site of the former fire station in Albert Road have been submitted to Wirral Council. For further details of this proposed project named the Beacon visit the website.
