Hoylake has not been selected as one of the initial 12 Town Teams that are set to share a pot of £1.2m for high street rejuvenation.
Town teams will implement and test ideas put forward by retailing guru Mary Portas, who has previously worked in Hoylake at the Three Sisters grocers. Hoylake Village (website) submitted a proposal (more about that here) and there is still a chance that Hoylake could be selected later this year when another 15 projects are picked.
