Hoylake author and Sherlock Holmes (pictured; actor Jeremy Brett) enthusiast Charlotte Smith is part of a team organising an event that any Holmes fan will be interested in. Charlotte says:
You are cordially invited the very first meeting of the Liverpool and Wirral Sherlock Holmes Society which takes place on Saturday November 24th from 1pm. Membership is open to those aged 18 over. If you enjoy Sherlock Holmes from reading the original stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or have enjoyed watching the various incarnations of Sherlock Holmes on film, tv and stage you would be very much welcomed! If you would like to attend please can you confirm your attendence via the official facebook page of the society.
To help with ease of identification please wear or bring something relating to Sherlock Holmes, such as a deerstalker, magnifying glass for example. The meeting will take place in a meeting room at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel.
